Phantom

Getting Started

  • Go to https://phantom.app/ or download the Phantom App on your phone

  • Click 'Download'

  • Select your Browser

  • Click 'Create a new Wallet'

  • Create a new strong password. Recommended to use a Password Manager to generate and store the password.

  • You'll then see a 'Secret Recovery Phrase'

  • Write these words somewhere or at least store them in a password manager secured note.

  • Warning: Do not store these words in Notes, Text, Word, or similar unsecured platform as you are asking for trouble in the future.

  • You are now all set. Recommend pinning it for easy access

Top

  • 🟰: Access the Menu

    • Sub Menu

      • ➕: Add a new Wallet

      • ✏️: Manage Accounts - Used to rename or re-order your accounts

      • ⚙️: Settings

        • The most useful settings are:

        • Account - Be very careful with the following settings

          • Show Secret Phrase: Used to recover your Wallet

          • Show Private Key: Used to recover your wallet

        • Address Book: For saving Wallet Addresses you frequently send/receive funds from like an exchange

        • Connected Apps: If you want to revoke a connection from your Wallet to an App

  • ◻️: Access your Wallet Addresses on Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon

Bottom

  • $: Access your Coins

  • ⬛️: Access your NFTs

  • ↔️: Swap your Coins

  • ⚡️: View your Recent Activity

  • 🌐: Connect to Apps. This is mostly used on the Mobile App to connect to different sites

Airdrop:

Phantom will likely have an airdrop for users in 2024. Qualification methods are unclear beyond

  • Create a Wallet

  • Make sure you at least swap something in the app.
